This week in the ACC Power Rankings, Pitt scores 52 points in its conference opener; Clemson survives against Boston College.

There’s a dark and a troubled side of life
There’s a bright and a sunny side too
Tho’ we meet with the darkness and strife
The sunny side, we also may view

Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side
Keep on the sunny side of life
It will help us ev’ry day; it will brighten all the way
If we’ll keep on the sunny side of life

Keep on the Sunny Side by The Whites

Here at headquarters, we choose to look at the bright side of this ACC football season. Sure, the ACC won’t have a playoff contender this season. That was a Clemson or bust proposition anyway. This season is filled with parody in the ACC, and that’s fine by us.

Speaking of Clemson, the Tigers found a way to defeat the Boston College Eagles in the rock fight of the week in primetime at Death Valley East. The Pitt Panthers put up 52 on Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

There is cause for optimism in Tallahassee; the Seminoles won their first game, defeating the Syracuse Orange 33-30 at Doak Walker. Wake Forest continued their winning ways defeating Louisville by a field goal at home.

So to the rivalry that ain’t bells of victory, enjoy this week’s Power Rankings before you Enter Sandman.
