College Football 2021: Top 3 under-the-radar games to watch in Week 6
By Shane Lunnen
Week 6 is here and conference races are about to really heat up. There are four matchups this week featuring both teams within the top 25. The biggest one may be taking place in Iowa City with third-ranked Iowa taking on fourth-ranked Penn State.
Briefly recapping Week 5, there were several top 25 matchups. Both Alabama and Georgia proved in their games they are above everyone else in college football right now with both teams notching blowout wins. The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs seem to be heading on a collision course in early December in Atlanta.
We did see three more top 25 teams lose to unranked teams, the biggest of which was Stanford knocking off than third-ranked Oregon in overtime. The Pac-12 no longer has any undefeated teams and depending on how the rest of the season plays out, may find itself again on the outside of the College Football Playoff.
Back to Week 6, this should be a really fun week with more of the national picture coming into focus. In addition to the monster matchup in Iowa, the Red River Rivalry takes place in Dallas and Georgia takes on Auburn.
There are also several other top 25 teams in interesting matchups. Could there be more upsets in the making? Here are three matchups that have implications in their respective conferences. These games may not be getting national attention, but they are worth watching.
