Sam Pittman deserves some coach of the year recognition for what he’s done with Arkansas football in a short time. He’s turned a program that couldn’t win a conference game in two years into a top-10 ranked team.

Arkansas was winless in SEC play under Chad Morris and then when Pittman took over, he won three conference games in his first COVID-19-shortened season.

After climbing into the top 10, Arkansas was throttled by Georgia a week ago, which dampened the Razorbacks’ 4-0 start to the season. They were blanked by the Bulldogs and are now in need of a bounce-back performance, but Ole Miss won’t go down easily in Week 6.

But here’s why the Razorbacks will pull off the road win over Ole Miss.

3. KJ Jefferson won’t be held down again

KJ Jefferson has been a pleasant surprise this season and all the doubters before the season have been quieted. I’ll admit, I didn’t think Jefferson would follow up the one-year Feleipe Franks era this well, but he’s proven me wrong. I was a Malik Hornsby believer and I still think the backup has a high ceiling, but Jefferson has been the perfect bridge.

But he just had his worst game of the season against Georgia, totaling just 70 yards and looking rather ineffective all game long. He’s not going to be held down for two straight games.

The talented dual-threat is going to bounce back against an average Ole Miss defense and pick up about 300 yards of total offense and lead the Razorbacks to a big ranked road win.
