1. Defense

If this game comes down to defense, which I think it very well could, Arkansas holds a fairly distinct advantage over Ole Miss.

Arkansas gives up about 282 yards per game while Ole Miss allows nearly 370. And you can’t blame it on the quality of opponents either as the Razorbacks have faced Texas, Texas A&M, and Georgia which were all top-15 teams at the time of the matchup and each has a solid offense.

Conversely, Ole Miss has faced Louisville, Tulane, and Alabama. Tell me how the Razorbacks’ schedule has been any easier.

Either way, Arkansas has been fantastic against the pass this season, allowing just under 130 yards per game through the air while the run defense could use some work. What’s Ole Miss’ strength offensively? The pass.

Something’s got to give in this one and I think Arkansas will have the slight advantage because of that strong pass defense.
