If you had the Iowa versus Penn State football game as the potential Big Ten game of the year, go buy a lottery ticket tonight. This is a game that has serious implications in the conference and nationally. Both of these teams have already been battle-tested and this should be a low-scoring, physical football game. Just another day in the office of the Big Ten.

Iowa came into the year as one of the most underrated teams in the Big Ten and the country. There is still a lot of room for improvement for the Hawkeyes, however. The defense has been one of the best in the country and forcing turnovers in every game. The offense leaves a lot to be desired, especially through the air. The Nittany Lions have one of the toughest schedules in the country and even after this game, Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State still await. This is a game that Penn State needs to win so they don’t fall behind the other undefeated teams in their own division

This is going to be a great game in one of the best environments in college football. The winner can declare themselves the Big Ten frontrunner and this could even be a preview of the Big Ten title game.

Here are three reasons I think Penn State beats Iowa.
