3-3. Previous: 9th. Tigers . 11. team. 817.

The LSU Tigers fell to Kentucky this week and fall two spots to No. 11 more by virtue of what others around them were able to accomplish and less by what they weren’t able to. This week is a big-time showdown with Florida that could change the Tigers season if they were able to find a win. It is in Death Valley, but it is also a noon ET kick, so it isn’t exactly the game it normally is.

Previous: 8th. Volunteers . 10. team. 839. . 4-2

The Volunteers fall two spots, like LSU, by virtue of what others around them did. They did beat South Carolina this week and did so convincingly, but it was South Carolina, not someone from the top half of the conference or anything like that. However, this week, they face off against Ole Miss. That kind of win could change things for Tennessee in a hurry.

3-2. Previous: 10th. Bulldogs . 9. team. 893.

The Bulldogs of Mississippi State were on a bye week this week but moved up a spot by virtue of what the team right above them did. Many may be upset by the fact that they are below where Texas A&M ended up after beating them a week ago. However, they will get a chance to show that they deserve to move up as they take on the Crimson Tide of Alabama this week.
