SEC Power Rankings Week 7: Alabama falls in shocking upset
By Shelbie Warr
Arkansas falls a spot after a one-point loss to Ole Miss. Should they have gone for the extra point and overtime instead of the two-point conversion and the win? Probably, but that is neither here nor there. This is still a strong team that no one should take for granted as they can beat anyone on a good day. They face off against Auburn this week and just like KJ Jefferson and Arkansas, Bo Nix can be as good as anyone in the country when he is on, so this one will be good.
Ole Miss falls one spot to No. 3 this week. They face off against Tennessee this week in what should be an easy win assuming Matt Corral is on his game, but crazier things have happened around the league this year. Ole Miss is still struggling on the defensive side of the ball, but keeping up with them offensively isn’t easy to do.
The Crimson Tide falls from the top spot of the Power Rankings after a loss in College Station that was disappointing in all facets for Alabama fans. Many may think that dropping two spots is too much, but when there are two undefeated teams left you fall two spots to be below them. Now, they face off against Mississippi State hoping to get back on track.
