Will Nebraska football rebound from yet another heartbreaking loss? Here are three predictions for the Huskers vs Minnesota.
Nebraska football fans have gotten used to losing in awful fashion and were subjected to that same fate last week as the Huskers lost to Michigan following a late fumble.
It was brutal as Adrian Martinez played an outstanding game until the final two possessions when he fumbled and missed on some key throws after the Huskers tried to tie or the lead against ninth-ranked Michigan.
While that would have been a huge win for Scott Frost and company, the attention shifts to Minnesota now and in terms of making a bowl game, this is a must-win.
Nebraska will need to go on the road to get its season turned around and here are three predictions for the Huskers and Gophers.
Adrian Martinez bounces back
Martinez has been stellar for most of the season and as long as he can avoid the mistakes, Nebraska should be able to win this game on the road.
Minnesota has the second-best rush defense in the Big Ten, but Martinez and the Huskers offer unique challenges, the sort Minnesota hasn’t faced yet this season.
Last year, Martinez proved he could respond to adversity by playing well after he was benched and in a must-win situation for Frost and for Martinez, in terms of his legacy as a Nebraska quarterback, he’ll respond with one of his best games as a Husker.
