Texas A&M football effectively saved its season last week with an upset win over Alabama, can the Aggies keep rolling vs Missouri? Here are some bold predictions.

What a difference a week makes. Just ask Texas A&M football fans.

Last week, Aggies fans probably weren’t too high on their team. Few likely expected the Aggies to shock the college football world, defeating Alabama as an unranked team last Saturday night.

Of course, when you beat Alabama, you don’t stay unranked for long and the Aggies surged back into the Top 25. Now, Missouri (3-3, 0-2) awaits for Texas A&M football with an early kickoff Saturday morning in Columbia.

Here are three bold predictions for the Aggies.

Zach Calzada has a big day

Sometimes, all that’s needed is a little confidence and Texas A&M quarterback Zach Calzada should have plenty of that after throwing for 285 yards and three touchdowns last week in the win over Alabama.

He completed 67 percent of his throws and averaged nine yards per attempt, which were all season highs. And the 6-foot-4 signal-caller should be able to build on that performance Saturday, in part because Missouri is terrible defensively.

The Tigers rank 122nd in scoring defense and are allowing more than 37 points per game, as well as 210 yards through the air — that number would be higher but the run defense gives up nearly 300 a game.

Tennessee scored 62 points just a couple of weeks ago and with his newfound confidence, plus a stable of talented pass catchers, Calzada will pass for around 250 and toss 2-3 touchdowns — the only thing keeping him from 300 will be the Aggies big lead and their focus on running the ball.
