Last week, Alabama football suffered its first loss to a team ranked outside of the top 25 since Nick Saban’s first year in 2007. The Crimson got a chance to rebound against a team in Mississippi State, which was playing for the first time since its upset over A&M two weeks ago.

If we look to the transitive property of inequality, then clearly the Bulldogs were going to take care of Alabama after the past two weeks of results. Unfortunately, that equation has never had to factor in an angry Nick Saban.

The Crimson Tide came roaring out of the gates with high energy and physicality. Josh Jobe kicked off the party with his first interception of the year on Mississippi State’s opening drive.

Bama’s offense responded with a 46-yard touchdown from Bryce Young to John Metchie III. Metchie showed off his ability in open space as the majority of those yards came after the catch. From this point on Alabama football never looked back, as the Tide came away from this game with a 49-9 victory.

Young finished the day with 348 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71% of his passes. The trio of Young, Metchie, and Jameson Williams has been tough for SEC defenses to handle thus far.

The high-powered Bulldog offense was unable to find the end zone until the 4th quarter. Mike Leach is not known for a conservative style, but he did have to settle for field goals due to bad field positioning on 4th downs.

After another dominant performance by Alabama, what more could we learn?
