5. Arizona Wildcats

The Wildcats could be a landing spot for Rattler because he is an Arizona native. Coaches attempting to rebuild programs have an easier time getting over the hump when they have a quarterback that can play and elevate the play of their teammates.

The Arizona Wildcats are 0-6 and have not had a winning season since 2017 under Rich Rodriguez. The Wildcats have played three quarterbacks this season with meager results. The Wildcats have not scored 20 points in a game this season and rank 129th in the country in scoring.

The Arizona football program has many issues, but a good quarterback could mask some of them.

Spencer Rattler would come to Tuscon with a pretty good resume. Rattler would come with a Big 12 championship and a Cotton Bowl trophy. That is a better resume than any transfer Arizona has on its roster.

Rattler would fit nicely into Arizona’s scheme because they won’t ask him to be a plus in the running game. Rattler would be able to sit in the pocket and distribute to the playmakers around him. The only problem is Arizona does not have many of those.

Maybe the addition of Rattler would attract some playmakers.
