I think Ole Miss did just enough to sneak back into that top-10 range, beating LSU handily on Saturday.

Matt Corral didn’t have a huge game so his Heisman campaign took a bit of a hit, but it’s not because he played poorly. No, he actually played well, but the Rebels’ run game could not be stopped.

When the run game is working like that, Lane Kiffin has no choice but to stick with it despite the fact that he has one of the best quarterbacks in the country. Corral still finished with 185 yards and a touchdown on 18-of-23 completions along with a rushing score, so the game wasn’t a total loss for his resume.

Snoop Conner and Jerrion Ealy stole the show on the ground as they combined for 214 yards and a touchdown on 26 touches. Henry Parrish Jr. added 32 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

Ole Miss is now bowl eligible with the win and it shows just how good this team is that it could take down a suddenly hot LSU team that just upset Florida a week ago.

I’m thinking AP voters put the Rebels at 9. Those baby blue jerseys don’t hurt their chances to move up this far.
