Coming off a bye some teams are usually a bit slower out of the gate. Notre Dame football was not one of those teams on Saturday night as they were moving up and down the field all night long.

Punter Jay Bramblett almost got the whole night off for Notre Dame but had to make one punt on the night for the Irish.

Notre Dame looked good and it felt like for the first time in 2021 that they played a complete game overall. Yes, it did get to an eight-point game in the second half but the Irish offense quickly shut the door on any potential USC comeback inside Notre Dame Stadium.

This was the first game back inside Notre Dame Stadium since their crucial home loss to Cincinnati three weeks ago. The Irish faithful showed up on a chilly October night in South Bend and were exceptionally loud and rowdy which definitely helped Notre Dame on the field by providing energy.
