Week 9 of the college football season starts on Thursday night and here’s how to binge-watch all the big games plus College Gameday, SEC Nation, and Fox Big Noon Kickoff info.
The day after Week 9 of the college football season is Halloween, which means the stretch run has arrived and some spooky things could be happening this weekend.
College football is always unpredictable and this weekend features some classic matchups such as Michigan and Michigan State, Georgia against Florida, and Ohio State against Penn State, as well as some other juicy matchups.
Auburn will take on Ole Miss in an important SEC West battle, while in the Mountain West, San Diego State and Fresno State face-off in a battle of two teams with one combined loss.
Not to mention Iowa/Wisconsin, Texas/Baylor, Notre Dame/North Carolina, and even some interesting Pac-12 clashes such as Utah/UCLA or Colorado/Oregon.
Week 9 of the college football season should provide plenty of exciting action for fans, which is needed after a week with zero ranked teams squaring off.
Of course, Week 8 still proved to be exciting for college football fans as a number of big upsets went down. What will happen this week? Here’s how to watch all the action starting Thursday night.
Weekday Games
Thursday
Coastal Carolina vs Troy, 7:30 PM EST, ESPN
Coastal Carolina is fresh off an upset loss last week to Appalachian State and Thursday night will provide a perfect opportunity to get back in the saddle against Troy, another team in the mix in the Sun Belt Conference. Both teams are 2-1 in the league and a loss by either would make it very difficult to play for the Sun Belt championship later this season.
There are a couple of other games on Friday night but unless you’re a fan of Nevada or UNLV, or teams such as Navy and Tulsa, I’d probably avert your eyes, although Nevada does have Carson Strong one of the best quarterbacks in the country. That game will be on CBS Sports Friday night (10 PM EST), while South Florida and Tulsa will play on ESPN2 (7:30 PM EST).
