Auburn Football takes on the Ole Miss Rebels at home, looking to keep their winning streak going against a very tough high powered offense.

The Auburn football team comes into Week 9 with a 5-2 record. (2-1 in the SEC) The Tigers are coming off a bye week where they moved up a spot in the AP poll and climbed one spot in the coaches poll. Not bad for a bye week.

For Auburn football fans it is to be expected with their big victory against the Arkansas Razorbacks in week 7.

The Ole Miss Rebels are coming into Jordan-Hare with an impressive 6-1 record. (3-0 in the SEC) Their only loss was against the Crimson Tide.

The Rebels have one of the most dominant offenses in the SEC, ranking seventh in the nation, and will look to demolish the tigers.

However, the pride of Alabama is going to have something to say about that. Auburn football has a much better defense than what Ole Miss saw with LSU last week so controlling the game the way they want to control will not be an easy task, especially in a jam-packed Jordan-Hare with some of the passionate football fans you will ever see in America.

Matt Corral leads the way for Ole Miss with a 168 quarterback rating and 15 touchdowns and whopping 1913 passing yards. With only one interception on the year, he looks to continue that dominant streak. He also leads the Rebels with 474 yards rushing and nine touchdowns.

What more could you ask from a quarterback? There is doubt why he is in the running for the Heisman. The only reason he is not leading the Heisman race is because of the Alabama loss but it has been a back and forth battle between him and Bryce Young of the Crimson Tide. Bryce’s numbers also edge out Corral’s just a little.

Corral’s knee injury is a bit worrisome where the running game is concerned. This could allow the Tigers to uncover Corral’s weaknesses and may just give Auburn football the advantage they need to win this game. The Rebels leader in offense is not 100 percent. Auburn also knows one big road win in the SEC is not enough if they have any shot at a title they have to keep winning.

Now, Bo Nix’s numbers do not come in anywhere close to Corral’s but he is a winner, and winners find a way to win. Huge numbers also don’t mean anything and high rankings don’t mean anything unless you get it done in the moments that matter. Somehow Auburn football keeps finding a way to do it. This is why you can never count Bo out because Bo knows.

The Ole Miss Rebels takes on the Auburn Tigers on Saturday at 7 p.m on ESPN in Jordan-Hare Stadium.  It is destined to be another intense down to the wire football game that we expect in the SEC. Don’t miss a second because in the SEC you never know what will happen.

Here are 3 bold predictions why I believe the Auburn Tigers will be victorious this weekend. War Eagle!
