A month ago, Florida vs. Georgia football looked like it might be the game of the year in the SEC and both teams looked like playoff contenders. Fast forward, and Florida has played two really ugly games and while they might have been unlucky to lose both games against Kentucky and LSU, this team has gone backward since their performance against Alabama earlier in the season.

Georgia football, meanwhile, continues to look like the No. 1 team in the country and has one of the best defenses in recent memory.

However, I believe that Florida is capable of putting a scare into the Bulldogs if they play well. Dan Mullen is one of the best offensive play-callers in college football and this is the most athletic offense that the Dawgs have faced this season. Florida also has a solid offensive line, but they will have their hands full with this Georgia front-seven.

The big question mark for both teams coming into this game is at the quarterback position. JT Daniels might be healthy enough to go for the Bulldogs, but they will have the reliable Stetson Bennett ready to go if not. Florida fans have been clamoring for Anthony Richardson to get more playing time and they might get their wish on Saturday. Richardson is undoubtedly more talented than Emory Jones, but Mullen has been reluctant to go to him full time.

This will be Georgia’s last big test before the SEC title game and it will either show that they are not as invincible as they look or they will continue to suffocate opponents and Florida will be just like everyone else the Dawgs have played.

Here are the three reasons Georgia football will beat Florida on Saturday.
