Loser: Kentucky (Down to No. 18)

Kentucky had been one of the more impressive teams in the country and some even thought there was a chance that they could go 11-1. Kentucky played a terrible game on Saturday as they went on the road and played an ugly game against Mississippi State. The Wildcats could not get anything going on offense and the defense could not create enough disruption for Bulldogs quarterback Will Rogers and now the Wildcats are at a disappointing 6-2.

This is still a good season for the Wildcats, but they were hoping for bigger things and possibly a New Years six appearance. That is probably off the table, but a chance at ten wins is certainly attainable.

Loser: San Diego State (Unranked)

San Diego State was one of the unbeaten Group of Five teams left, but after a loss to Fresno State, the Aztecs are unranked. This was a tough game against a good team, but San Diego State is now left with one loss, and a chance at a New Year’s Six birth is probably out the door. Head coach Brady Hoke has still had a great season and the Aztecs could still win the Mountain West, but anything bigger than that is probably not going to happen.
