College Football Playoff Rankings 2021: Projected Top 25, Week 10
Wake Forest continues to prove that it’s legit. Who would have thought?
The Demon Deacons are still undefeated after dominating Duke in Week 9, 45-7. Dave Clawson’s team just became the clear No. 1 squad in the ACC and the league’s last remaining hope for a playoff berth after Pitt’s loss to Miami and Virginia’s stumble against BYU on Saturday night. Not to mention, Clemson is not a threat in the playoff race this year and there’s a good chance the Tigers finish the regular season unranked.
Sam Hartman deserves to be in the Heisman Trophy race, especially after his massive performance against Army last weekend, but he doubled down and threw for over 400 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday against Duke. How is no one talking about this kid as a Heisman favorite?
Wake Forest has a really tough finish to the season with Clemson, NC State, North Carolina, and Boston College left and if they can win out, they’ll be in that top four.
For now, I think this is a top-10 team in the first playoff rankings.
