No 2. UTSA football Head Coach Jeff Traylor just signed a 10-year contract extension to build a football empire in San Antonio

Jeff Traylor has done a phenomenal job of building up the Roadrunner program in such short order. His success has made him a popular coaching candidate among teams in the Power Five.

However, UTSA just announced it’s signed their head football coach to a 10-year, $28 million contract extension to keep him with the team until 2031, according to ESPN.

That’s more than a 3x bump from his originally reported contract of $800,000 per year, according to ESPN.

It’s a good thing UTSA secured their head coach for the long-term because there was reported interest from Texas Tech to try and lure him away from the Roadrunners.

Now that Traylor is in San Antonio for the next decade, serious inroads can be made on the recruiting trail.

An impressive season, plus a long-term commitment from the university will no doubt attract the attention of some excellent high school football players looking for their college football home.
