Heisman Trophy Contender No. 2: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

For the first time in weeks, Bryce Young won’t be our No. 1 Heisman Trophy contender, and actually outside of Matt Corral taking the top spot for a week, Young has held the top spot the entire season.

He may still win the award but right now, Walker has moved ahead of him — ever so slightly.

It never helps to have a bye week while another candidate has a defining moment. Yet, Young still has stellar numbers and is ranked second according to ESPN in QBR in addition to having five 300-yard games to his credit.

Young’s 26 touchdown passes have him tied for fourth, while he is 10th in yards. And with a game against LSU on Saturday, as well as Auburn and a likely SEC title game appearance, he will have plenty of chances for his own Heisman moment.

Such as potentially beating Georgia which would make him a shoo-in for the trophy.
