3. The Tigers will slow down the Aggies’ rushing attack

Football can sometimes be a game of inches and Auburn cannot allow the running game of Isaiah Spiller and Devon Achane. Auburn is not the only team with two lethal options in the backfield.

Leading the team, Spiller comes into the matchup with 761 yards on 123 carries and five touchdowns. Tying him in touchdowns is Devon Achane who also has 706 yards on just 86 carries. He had 154 yards last week vs. Spiller’s 102 and each added a touchdown. They will look to put major numbers in the ground game.

The defense will step up again just as they did last week against Ole Miss, putting a stop to their high-powered running game. Auburn’s linebackers will have to come up huge, and they will. This is do or die because the Tigers at fourth-best in the country have 63 tackles per loss they have a high chance to stop them. They will continue that level of pressure to hold the Aggies from spreading their offense out and stopping the run.

It’s going to be a great matchup to watch as the Aggies have a good offensive line. We know the Tigers have struggled earlier on with their defensive pass-rushing, but that has been improved. The defense believes they are ready to take on anything any offense throws at them. Be ready for them to take on the Aggies with no fear and no hesitation. They were born for this.
