The month of November is a big one for BYU football after an up-and-down month of October. The Cougars began the year red-hot with a 4-0 record in September before going 3-2 in October with losses to Boise State and Baylor.

But the Cougars did pick up another Pac-12 win in October, beating Washington State, and then they beat Virginia to close the month. BYU now has four wins over Pac-12 this season and five wins over Power Five teams with a chance to add one more before the year is over.

Let’s get bold ahead of the month of November.

3. Jaren Hall has eight touchdown passes with no picks

Earlier this season, BYU was down two quarterbacks and it looked like the Cougars might suffer massive setbacks. But Jaren Hall returned after missing a couple of weeks and BYU was still undefeated. Although his first two starts back from injury resulted in losses, he still played well.

He completed 22-of-37 passes for 302 yards, a touchdown, and an interception against Boise State. He then completed 22-of-31 passes for 342 yards and a score in a loss to Baylor. He was not the reason the Cougars lost both of those games.

In the last two wins, he’s looked solid again. Hall completed 15-of-20 passes for 143 yards against Washington State but Tyler Allgeier stole the show in that one. He had 349 yards and three touchdowns in a shootout win over Virginia last week.

To finish the regular season, assuming he remains healthy, Hall will average 300 yards per game and he’ll throw eight touchdown passes with no picks.

Not a bad end to the season for the first-year starter.
