College Football 2021: 3 under-the-radar games to watch in Week 10
By Shane Lunnen
As we get set for College Football Week 10 here are three under-the-radar games you need to pay attention to on Saturday.
The final month of the regular season begins this weekend with Week 10’s slate. With the first edition of the College Football Playoff rankings released, it will now be a sprint to the finish for conference title races and positioning for the top bowl games.
Week 10 looks like a particularly weak slate of matchups, at least on paper. There is only one ranked versus ranked game, an SEC West showdown with Auburn visiting Texas A&M. With that said, you know it will turn into a fun week with several upsets.
Last week’s picks for under-the-radar games yielded some good ones. Fresno State took down San Diego State and the Bulldogs find themselves ranked 23rd in the first CFP rankings.
Houston and SMU went back and forth in a classic battle with the Cougars prevailing at the end on a 100-yard kickoff return. Even with both teams at 7-1, neither is ranked in the CFP rankings. Is the committee trying to keep down Cincinnati?
The Bearcats play SMU in three weeks and potentially could play Houston in the American Conference title game. Just chalk it up to another head-scratcher from the playoff committee.
Moving on to College Football’s Week 10, there are three games not getting the attention they may deserve. Let’s take a look at these matchups.
