College Football News: Winners, Losers from Week 11 AP Poll Release
Week 10 brought some more upsets and some near-disasters for some teams. Who are the winners and losers from the Week 11 AP Poll release?
The top 10 was once again shaken up by two top-10 teams losing for the first time. Michigan State could not stay perfect and fell on the road against Purdue and Wake Forest lost in their road shootout against North Carolina.
Michigan State still has opportunities in front of it and their playoff hopes are not dead yet, but the dream season might be over for the Demon Deacons.
Elsewhere around the country and in the top 10 specifically, teams not named Georgia struggled mightily on Saturday night.
Alabama nearly had what might have been the worse loss of the Nick Saban era by barely beating LSU. The Crimson Tide were four-touchdown favorites and were lucky to get out of that game without a loss.
Cincinnati needed a goal-line fumble from Tulsa to stay undefeated, Ohio State looked sluggish in a win over Nebraska, and Oregon also looked slow in their rivalry win over Washington.
There are only three more weeks left in the regular season and everyone but Georgia seems like they could lose again.
There seems to be no separation from the rest of the pack and that could create some serious chaos down the road. There are some huge games left in the season and a lot is going to get sorted out in the next three weeks leading up to championship Saturday and then the reveal of the playoff field.
Here are the winners and losers from the Week 11 AP Poll release.
