Winner: Cincinnati (2nd)

It might be weird to have the team that has been No. 2 for the past few weeks as a winner, but the Bearcats should feel lucky that voters kept them that high. This team has not played very well in recent weeks and the Bearcats are struggling to make a case for the college football playoff.

Every time that they play a close game against a mediocre opponent, the Bearcats have played down to the competition.

It is going to be an uphill battle for Cincinnati to prove to the committee that they deserve a spot in the final four. For now, though, they are winners this week by remaining number two in the AP Poll.

Winner: Wisconsin (Up To 20)

Don’t look now, but the Wisconsin Badgers are starting to play their best football of the season. It was against Rutgers, who is not a good team, but beating them 52-3 is impressive. The Badgers might have the second-best defense in the entire country and they are playing like it. The offense has started to play better and that is going to be the key to the rest of the season for the Badgers.

If Wisconsin can have the offense play solid football, the Badgers have a good chance at finishing 9-3 and going to the Big Ten Championship game. Head coach Paul Chryst deserves a lot of credit for turning this season around for Wisconsin and getting them to play well at the right time.
