College Football Playoff Rankings 2021: Projected Top 25, Week 11
Oregon faced another pesky road test on Saturday night, traveling to Seattle to face rival Washington after a week of trash talking.
Oregon came in and asserted its dominance after falling behind 9-3 early on. The Ducks bounced back to take a 24-9 lead and then held on to beat the Huskies 26-16 to improve to 8-1 and now Washington will need to win two of their final three games to make a bowl game after starting the year ranked.
Mario Cristobal has to feel good about how his team responded to being ranked No. 4 in the first playoff poll this past week. I think they did enough to at least hang on to that No. 4 spot or even move up one because of the Michigan State loss. The committee probably has to keep the Ducks ahead of Ohio State here.
If Oregon continues to win and claims a third straight Pac-12 title, the committee won’t be able to find an excuse to keep it out of the playoff.
Oregon is right where it needs to be with a month to play.
