A big College Football Playoff shakeup last week might be just a sample of what we’re in for the rest of the month. Here’s your Week 11 upset alert.

Last week was fun, huh? A lot of close games caused the College Football Playoff committee to reevaluate a lot of what they thought, and a few upsets along the way caused some drastic changes.

Two top-10 teams lost, including Michigan State, moving it from No. 3 to No. 7 and somehow below a Michigan team the Spartans beat. Ninth-ranked Wake Forest lost, dropping three spots from to No. 12. Baylor fell from 12 to 13, Auburn from 13 to 17 and Mississippi State, Kentucky, Minnesota, and Fresno State fell out of the top 25 altogether.

As we look forward, this week should continue that trend, as there are quite a few ranked teams in trouble.

Last week, teams on upset alert went a solid 5-2. Kentucky couldn’t handle Tennessee, giving the Vols their first win against a ranked opponent since Kentucky in 2018. Michigan State also lost in one of the most obvious upset situations you’ll ever see. They lost to Purdue 40-29.

For the season, teams on upset alert are now 45-25. With a slate loaded with potential, this could be a huge swing one way or another.

As always, a disclaimer: these picks are not predictions unless stated as such.
