Baylor Football: 3 reasons Bears will upset No. 8 Oklahoma in Week 11
2. Gerry Bohanon will out-duel Caleb Williams
Caleb Williams is somehow in the conversation for the Heisman Trophy despite only playing extensively in four games for the Sooners this season and still ranking second on his own team in passing yards — he’s still about 300 yards behind Spencer Rattler.
Everyone has seemingly jumped on the Williams bandwagon and he’s now playing with the weight of the world on his shoulders because when he struggles, Oklahoma is just not great — see the Kansas game.
Gerry Bohanon, on the other hand, gets very little publicity even though he’s one of the more exciting quarterbacks in the Big 12. He’s capable of doing everything that Williams can do but because he doesn’t play for Oklahoma, he is rarely talked about. He has 1,967 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions with a completion rate of 65 percent. On top of that, he’s rushed for 176 yards and seven touchdowns this year.
The more underrated quarterback is going to have the better game here and really open some eyes on a national level.
Maybe Bohanon will lead a Heisman charge next season after this one.
