I see Wake Forest getting the nod at No. 10 over Baylor because the Demon Deacons have just one loss and should have a better chance of making the top four over a two-loss team.

Plus, Wake Forest also beat a ranked team on Saturday night.

While I know the playoff committee was really impressed with Baylor’s win over Oklahoma, I think that it’ll be fair here and give Wake Forest a break for being a one-loss team and winning against a ranked team, too.

While I believe Baylor will probably jump Oklahoma despite having one more loss because of that head-to-head battle, I think that the Sooners control their own playoff destiny while the Bears are likely out of it.

Back to Wake Forest, though. The Demon Deacons continue to impress and they bounced back after their first loss of the season to beat No. 16 NC State 45-42 behind Sam Hartman’s 290 yards and three touchdowns. He did, however, throw three picks and this defense is a liability.

Playoff hopes for the Deacs are fairly low because of that defense.
