Wisconsin football stayed hot this weekend against Northwestern and here are the Badgers who earned game balls.

College football is great and can have many storylines throughout the long season. Look no further than the Wisconsin Badgers. Just over a month ago Wisconsin football was down bad, real bad but fast forward to now and they are one of the hottest teams in college football.

After a loss to Michigan in early October many around the college football world wondered what was going on in Madison sitting at 1-3 on the season. Since then Wisconsin football has won six in a row and now sits atop of the Big Ten West division with a record of 7-3 after another huge win over Northwestern 35-7 inside Camp Randall stadium.

Wisconsin got off to a fast start against Northwestern on Saturday. With the way that the Badgers play defense under defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard Northwestern really never stood a chance. The Badgers’ defense was able to get four turnovers on the day against the Wildcats.

Here are three players for Wisconsin who earned a game ball over Northwestern.

Danny Davis III – Wide Receiver

It was either Danny Davis III or tight end Jake Ferguson for earning a game ball in this spot. Went with the wide receiver in Davis III as he lead the receiving core for the Badges offense.

Davis III finished the game with three receptions for 46 yards and one touchdown. This is now back to back weeks that the senior wideout in Davis III has scored a touchdown for Wisconsin.

The Badgers are always going to be a run team-first type of offense but Davis III is a reliable target for Mertz to have in the passing game.
