We are just one week away from college football’s regular-season finale. The CFP rankings will be more important than ever over the coming weeks and there are still a handful of teams truly in the running for the playoff.

Ohio State kicked off the weekend with a massive blowout of Michigan State in what was supposed to be the best game of the day. Well, the Spartans were huge underdogs, but no one expected a 56-7 blowout, but the Buckeyes were firing on all cylinders against Michigan State and CJ Stroud may have just locked up the Heisman Trophy with his performance.

If anyone was wondering what was going on with the best team in the land, Georgia was busy taking care of Charleston Southern 56-7. This was a walk-in-the-park day for some top SEC teams and Georgia is going to remain the No. 1 team with this win.

The afternoon slate was a little more exciting as Alabama hosted Arkansas for a Top 25 battle and it was much closer than that Michigan State vs. Ohio State game. The Crimson Tide pulled away with a win but Arkansas did put up a decent fight. Cincinnati dominated SMU, Michigan smashed Maryland, and Wisconsin found itself in a dogfight with Nebraska. Baylor held on to pick up a big road win over Kansas State as well and Dave Aranda is going to be mentioned as a top candidate for a ton of coaching jobs.

Oregon was shocked at the end of the night at Utah to end the day with a crazy upset as the Ducks are likely dropped from playoff consideration.

Let’s see what the CFP Rankings could look like for Week 13.
