CFP Rankings Projections, Week 13: Ohio State, Alabama fighting for No. 2
Michigan is in rare territory. For the first time in years, the Wolverines have a shot to make the Big Ten title game in the final regular-season game of the year. If the Wolverines beat rival Ohio State in the season finale, they will be headed to Indianapolis for the first time ever.
If Michigan wants to make that happen, it’ll have to shrug off the years of dominance by the Buckeyes and put aside Jim Harbaugh’s 0-5 record against Ohio State as head coach. He didn’t face the Buckeyes last season because of a COVID-19 outbreak, but this is his chance to get revenge for 2015-19.
Cade McNamara had a decent game through the air again, completing 21-of-28 passes for 259 yards and a couple of touchdowns while Donovan Edwards was the team’s leading receiver despite being the backup running back. He finished with 170 yards and a touchdown on 10 catches against Maryland.
The Wolverines dominated the Terrapins from start to finish and a 59-18 win should impress the committee plenty, but not quite enough to jump Cincinnati.
