Each week, I continue to be impressed with Baylor. I’m actually more impressed with Baylor this week than I have been all season because the Bears were facing a tough road battle against Kansas State but they found a way to win.

The Bears were up 17-7 at halftime and then hold on in a defensive battle to win 20-10 and it looks like Dave Aranda is going to be a popular name mentioned this offseason in the coaching carousel. He keeps winning and he’s probably going to be near the top of the national coach of the year race so he might just be a popular target for schools like LSU, Washington, and USC this offseason.

The Bears didn’t have the best day offensively, but the defense held up like it has for most of the season and that’s just the sign that Aranda’s fingerprints are all over this team.

I see Baylor jumping into the top 10 this week but the Bears are obviously on the outside of the real playoff race looking in with two losses. Still, this Baylor team has to be one of the most pleasant surprises in the country.
