2. Matt Corral should be headed to New York

After another solid performance, and this time coming against the Rebels’ top rival, Matt Corral should be heading to New York for the Heisman Trophy Ceremony in December.

All he needed to do was have a decent game and not get completely shut down and he did just that, throwing for over 230 yards and a touchdown with an interception late. He also rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown.

With this solid performance, he finishes the season with over 3,300 yards and 20 touchdowns with just four picks and he’s completing nearly 70 percent of his passes. Tack on about 600 rushing yards and another 11 touchdowns to that line and you have a serious Heisman contender and a likely finalist.

Do I think Corral is going to win the Heisman? Unfortunately probably not because he hasn’t thrown a ton of touchdown passes, but 30-plus total touchdowns and nearly 4,000 total yards with a 10-2 regular-season record should be more than enough to get him to New York.
