Here are three takeaways from the 126th rendition of Bedlam between Oklahoma State football and Oklahoma.

Rivalry games are that much more intriguing when there is something on the line. Saturday’s revival of Bedlam had lots of implications. Oklahoma needed the win to play in the Big 12 Championship game and possibly get into the Playoff.

Oklahoma State’s 37-33 victory in just their 19th victory in the history of the game. This game was a tale of two halves where the Sooners did not score an offensive touchdown in the second half. A crucial fumble by Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams led to the decisive score in the fourth quarter.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys have flown under the radar all season. The Pokes have punched their ticket to the Big 12 Championship game. A win against the Sooners could help Oklahoma State resume on their way to playing in the Big 12 Championship game.

3. Spencer Sanders carried the Cowboys

To say that Spencer Sanders has had an up and down career is an understatement. Saturday, however, Sanders carried the Oklahoma offense. The Sooners stifled the Cowboys’ running game that was without running back LD Brown.

It was Sanders who led the Pokes in rushing with 93 yards rushing. Sanders did throw two interceptions, one in the fourth quarter, which looked to seal the Cowboys’ fate. Sanders recovered well, however.

Sanders led the Cowboys on two touchdown drives in the fourth quarter to win the game.
