Duke’s Mayo Bowl: Clemson vs Wisconsin

Sports Illustrated currently projects Clemson to play in Duke’s Mayo Bowl in Charlotte, North Carolina against Wisconsin.

The Tigers have never had the opportunity to face Big 10 powerhouse Wisconsin in a football game, so this could be an intriguing matchup.

However, Clemson football has not played in a middle-tier bowl like this in quite some time, perhaps leaving fans a bit uninspired.

However, it would be one of the easiest destinations for the Tiger faithful to travel and attend, so it could be appealing from that standpoint.

Like Clemson, Wisconsin has a very good defense. The Badgers only trail Georgia (230.4 yards) as the college football team that allows their opponents the fewest yards per game (240.8 yards).

As with the other teams mentioned earlier, Wisconsin is also coached very well by the incomparable Paul Chryst. The Badgers coach has guided his team to a bowl game in every season since taking over the team in 2015.
