Most chaotic possibilities coming out of Championship Weekend

Georgia blows out Alabama in the SEC championship in Atlanta
For maximum chaos to ensue on Selection Sunday, the one game that must absolutely go chalk is Georgia’s SEC championship showdown against Alabama. The Bulldogs are playing for revenge after a recent string of bad luck against the Crimson Tide, having lost their last six head-to-head matchups. Two of those came in the SEC title game, with another transpiring in the College Football Playoff championship game.
Given how high the selection committee has been on the Bulldogs all season, Kirby Smart’s team is likely going to make the four-team field no matter what happens in Atlanta. That basically means that Alabama is playing in a virtual play-in game for their own semifinal spot.
To ensure the greatest number of new faces in the Playoff, then, Georgia must exorcise its demons and defeat Alabama for the first time since the 2007 season. A win at Mercedes-Benz Stadium would lock the Bulldogs into the top seed in the semifinals, but more importantly, it would freeze out the defending national champions.
An Alabama win effectively locks down half the College Football Playoff field for the SEC. To ensure maximum chaos at the end of the season, Georgia needs to assert itself one more time as the best team in the regular season and reverse its 14-year drought against the Tide.
