Ranking the 25 worst games of past Heisman trophy winners: 24. Jason White

  • 2003 Seaon stats: 3,846 passing yards, 40 touchdowns, 10 interceptions
  • Worst game: 298 passing yards, 0 zero touchdowns, 2 interceptions

Fans at Oklahoma University sat back and enjoyed the show in both 2003 and 2004. In the former, quarterback Jason White sliced and diced just about every defense he saw on the field. Oklahoma finished the season with a 12-2 record and White went home with Heisman Trophy thanks to his 3,846 passing yards, 40 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

The only team that had him figured out somewhat, was Kansas State. White did throw for 298 yards so there are no complaints there. But he threw zero touchdowns and two interceptions. Also, to put the cherry on top of the disappointing sundae, Oklahoma was blown out, 35 to 7.

With an embarrassing loss like that one, it’s pretty surprising that White won the Heisman. Of course, he bounced back throughout the rest of the season but just based on that one game against Kansas State, White was pretty terrible.
