UCF Football vs Appalachian State

Cure Bowl

The Athletic currently projects UCF to head to the Cure Bowl to take on Appalachian State in Orlando.

These two teams have never met before, according to Winsipedia. But, their meeting would be a showcase of two of the best Group of Five teams in college football.

Appalachian State has been consistently one of the best teams in the Sun Belt Conference and UCF has been excellent year-over-year.

The game would feature a ton of running as both teams average nearly 200 yards per game on the ground. UCF has three players who have logged more than 300 yards rushing this season.

Appalachian State has two players with more than 700 rushing yards each and a team total of 24 rushing touchdowns.

If this bowl game happens for the Knights, they’ll have a short turnaround to prepare, as the game is set to take place on Dec. 17 at 6 p.m.
