Oklahoma State football is going to win the Big 12 Championship — here are three reasons why the Cowboys will come out on top against Baylor.

Oklahoma State football is a three-point loss against Iowa State in the middle of the season away from being undefeated this year.

Head coach Mike Gundy has his Cowboys ready to compete and win their second-ever Big 12 title. It’ll be their first since being named conference champions in 2011.

Cowboy fans were a little nervous at the start of the season, as Oklahoma State won its first three games by an average of 4.3 points to teams from the FCS and Group of Five.

But the team got things figured out after the slow start, earning wins against three consecutive ranked opponents, including Baylor, whom they’ll be facing again for the Big 12 Championship.

Here are three reasons why the Cowboys are well-positioned to win the Big 12 title this weekend over Baylor.

3. OK State is one of the hottest teams in the country

Oklahoma State is coming off a huge win over Oklahoma, defeating the Sooners 37-33 at home. It was the first time the Cowboys bested Oklahoma since 2014 when they pulled out a three-point win on the road in Norman.

In the final five games of the season, which were all wins, the Cowboys outscored their opponents 202-56. That’s an absurd point differential so deep into the season — and against conference opponents.

The stars are aligning for Mike Gundy and Co. to secure the Big 12 title.
