2. Spencer Sanders is having a career year

The junior quarterback out of Denton, Texas, is having himself a fantastic season, particularly in the past five games.

Spencer Sanders has thrown seven touchdowns and just three picks in the past five games. He’s been able to connect with his receivers because he’s gotten great protection from the offensive line. Sanders has taken just three sacks in five games.

In total, Sanders has recorded more than 2,000 passing yards and 16 touchdowns. He’s been finding ways to make defenses pay with his legs, too. He’s rushed for 510 yards and logged six rushing touchdowns — second-most on the team.

Sanders has likely been hoping for a rematch against Baylor as he had one of his worst games of the season against the Bears. He threw a season-high three interceptions and completed just 57 percent of his passes that game.

Expect Sanders to come to this game more focused than ever and ready to attack Baylor’s defense that gives up nearly 350 yards per game.
