The College Football Playoff field is set and so are the New Year’s Six bowl games. Here are some early predictions for the best time of the year.

You really can’t be a fan of college football if you don’t love bowl games. They encompass so much of what the sport is all about.

And after a season of twists and turns, we finally found out the four teams that will take part in the 2021 College Football Playoff.

The truth is we knew their identity last night after Michigan drubbed Iowa. The order we didn’t know but it was no surprise to see Alabama take the top spot, followed by Michigan, Georgia, and Cincinnati.

The Bearcats finally crashed the College Football Playoff as a Group of Five team and for once, an undefeated team didn’t have to settle for playing in a New Year’s Six bowl game.

There are some intriguing matchups though, led by both playoff games, which will take place on New Year’s Eve.

The New Year’s Six will kick off with Oklahoma State and Michigan State in the Peach Bowl and here’s our prediction for each New Year’s Six bowl game, as well as the College Football Playoff.

Peach Bowl

Pittsburgh is fresh off winning an ACC championship thanks to a thorough beat down of Wake Forest on Saturday by a score of 45-21.

Both the Spartans and Panthers came out of nowhere to play in a New Year’s Six Bowl game. But thanks to Heisman trophy winners Sam Pickett (Pitt) and Kenneth Walker III (MSU) both programs exceeded expectations.

The Spartans didn’t win a championship but did beat Michigan. However, their last big game was a blowout loss to Ohio State and they will be motivated to end on a high note. Pittsburgh hasn’t won a game like this since the 1980s so it will be motivated too.

Yet, the ACC isn’t the Big Ten. Pittsburgh does allow just 2.7 yards per carry on the ground, but MSU was able to run on Michigan and Walker will reach 100 in the Peach Bowl as the Spartans hit 11 wins.
