2. ACC (10)

Are you surprised to see the ACC this high? Because I know I am.

The ACC is usually considered the second-weakest conference in the Power Five just ahead of the Pac-12 and behind the Big 12, Big Ten, and SEC. Yet the ACC is sending 10 teams to bowl games this year which is the second-most of any conference in college football.

Pitt is the conference champion and Pat Narduzzi’s team will be playing in the Peach Bowl against Michigan State and that might be one of the most intriguing games of bowl season. Oh, and Kenny Pickett is one of the four Heisman Trophy finalists, facing off against Heisman snub Kenneth Walker III.

No other ACC teams are headed to the New Year’s Six, but Wake Forest deserves some props for the season it had and it’ll get a fun Gator Bowl appearance against Texas A&M.

The expected contenders (Miami, Clemson, and North Carolina) all had disappointing seasons but they’re all bowl-bound after bouncing back from a rough start to the year.

Which ACC teams will be bowling this postseason?

  • Miami (Sun Bowl) vs. Washington State on Dec. 31
