SEC football has 13 bowl-bound teams this season, from the College Football Playoff to the New Year’s Six and beyond. Let’s talk a bit about each game.

The SEC has widely been considered the best conference in college football and with two teams in the College Football Playoff and a New Year’s Six spot, that has been further proven.

How do these bowl matchups shape up?

We will go in alphabetical order, starting with the SEC champions, Alabama.

Alabama (CFP Semifinal — Cotton Bowl)

830. ESPN. 12-1. 829. . 13-0. Friday, Dec. 31. 4:30 PM ET

Alabama lost to Texas A&M in the regular season, knocking them out of that top spot in the rankings. However, with their SEC title win over Georgia — a team who was the unanimous No. 1, sitting at 12-0 going into that matchup — the Tide move back into that top spot and will face off against undefeated Cincinnati.

The Bearcats are the only undefeated team left in the nation and still only managed the No. 4 spot due to being Group of Five.

Will Alabama prevail and move to the championship again despite some glaring issues across the board at times and being without John Metchie who tore his ACL in the SEC title game?

Prediction: Alabama

Arkansas (Outback Bowl)

Saturday, Jan. 1. 844. . 12 PM ET. 7-5. 806. ESPN 2. 8-4

The Outback Bowl is made up of two teams that started off hot and finished as the middle of the pack teams in their conference. For Arkansas, they started as one of the better teams in the SEC, with a big win over Texas A&M — a team they hadn’t beaten since the Aggies joined the conference. Of course, we then found out that the Aggies weren’t that good and neither were the Razorbacks.

KJ Jefferson is good enough at quarterback though to win this game, but so is Sean Clifford when he’s at 100 percent. This one will be a good one.

Prediction: Penn State
