Adrian Martinez to UCLA

Adrian Martinez had a good career at Nebraska, outside of his inability to lead the Huskers to a bowl game but it wasn’t always his fault.

He is the Huskers’ all-time leader in total offense after four highly-productive seasons but it was time to go somewhere else and a team with a spread system seems like a perfect fit.

UCLA would make a lot of sense. One issue is that Spencer Rattler has already received a crystal ball projection to the Bruins. However, Oregon asked to interview Chip Kelly for its head coaching job and it feels like a reunion would be a great idea for both sides.

Kelly hasn’t been the same after leaving Oregon and Oregon really hasn’t been the same without Chip Kelly.

At any rate, if Kelly goes to the Ducks, he could be looking to attract a quarterback there. And whoever ended up replacing him at UCLA would probably be looking for a quarterback too and if Martinez wants to get closer to home, the Bruins would be a great fit.

Even if Kelly doesn’t leave and isn’t able to attract Rattler, Martinez would be a star in his system and could help him keep the progress moving forward.
