Jack Miller to LSU

New LSU football coach Brian Kelly knows a thing or two about mining the transfer portal for quarterbacks as he did so successfully last offseason at Notre Dame.

Kelly got Jack Coan, a former Wisconsin quarterback to come to South Bend and the Irish put together an 11-1 season and were one win away from the College Football Playoff.

Now, Kelly is the head coach at LSU and after the Tigers lost two quarterbacks to the transfer portal in Max Johnson and Myles Brennan, he could use another.

And one name that could make sense is Jack Miller.

Miller is from the state of Arizona but signed with Ohio State out of high school. He was a five-star recruit at one time and fits the mold of Kelly’s system which has been more based on pocket passers than dual-threat quarterbacks.

Just like Coan, Miller wouldn’t be guaranteed the starting job for the Tigers next season. But he would be a nice addition to the QB room and provide some much-needed depth and talent.
