Quinn Ewers to Texas

Quinn Ewers is basically a walking legend in the state of Texas. He was that dominant as a high school football player.

At one time, he was committed to Texas but eventually flipped his commitment to Ohio State. Ewers was originally part of the 2022 recruiting class but reclassified so he could enroll during the 2021 season and take advantage of NIL rules.

Ewers did just that with the Buckeyes but the top overall quarterback in his class doesn’t want to wait around for C.J. Stroud to play another season and promptly entered the transfer portal after the season.

While plenty of programs have interest in Ewers, it seems like the battle is down to Texas and Texas Tech. Texas A&M would be another good fit but the Aggies are invested in Conner Weigman another five-star recruit in the 2022 class.

The Red Raiders are putting up a fight and Ewers would make them relevant in the Big 12 but Texas is pulling out all the stops, including big NIL money to make it happen.

Ewers would also get to learn from Steve Sarkisian, one of the best offensive minds in college football and he could also get the glory of leading the Longhorns back to prominence.
