Alabama football’s Bryce Young took home the Heisman Trophy on Saturday, making him the second straight Tide player to win it.

The overwhelming favorite to win the Heisman Trophy on Saturday evening did just that as Alabama football’s Bryce Young took home the award.

Young is the Tide’s second straight winner of the award and he beat out Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson, Pitt’s Kenny Pickett, and Ohio State’s CJ Stroud. No one was truly shocked by this development but it just didn’t feel like a true “dominant” year for any player.

There was a ton of debate about the finalists and if the four best were truly in New York on Saturday while Will Anderson Jr. and Kenneth Walker III were at home.

But that’s neither here nor there because Young deserved to win the award after putting up monster numbers for the 12-1 Tide this year and leading them to the playoff.

In fact, Young finished fourth in the country with 4,322 yards and 43 touchdown passes with just four picks and a 68 percent completion rate. He was truly special for the Tide this season.
