I’m sorry there was no suspense at the top of this list, but that’s what happens when two of the top-four Heisman finalists return.

Bryce Young put up some incredible numbers in his first year as a starting quarterback for the Crimson Tide, passing for 4,322 yards and 43 touchdowns with just four picks. He completed 68 percent of his passes and didn’t really have a bad game all year. Plus, he rose to the occasion when it mattered most, dropping 421 yards and three touchdowns on Georgia.

Young was the favorite heading into the SEC title game and his performance locked up the Heisman Trophy as he became the first-ever Alabama quarterback to win the award. He’s also the second straight Alabama player to win it as his former roommate, DeVonta Smith, won in 2020.

Alabama will be loaded once again next season and even in an “off” year, the Crimson Tide produced yet another Heisman winner.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see him repeat or at least be in New York next year for the ceremony.
