6. Sugar Bowl Trophy

The Sugar Bowl trophy is another trophy with a classic look. It of course incorporates a football on top of what is supposed to be a vintage-looking sugar bowl. This part can detach from the base which is a golden Superdome where the game is played in New Orleans.

The Sugar Bowl is tied for the second oldest bowl game in FBS football. In most years since its inception in 1935, the bowl has hosted an SEC team, either its champion or another highly ranked team. Since the Sugar Bowl became part of the New Year’s Six, the game has hosted an SEC team every year except for one.

The game itself is very prestigious and has a ton of history, naturally of course since it has been around nearly 90 years. Even before becoming part of the rotation of playoff semifinal games, the Sugar Bowl has hosted four No. 1 versus No. 2 matchups.

Even if it has not hosted the de facto national championship game, the Sugar Bowl on many occasions has hosted two top games. A classic-looking trophy is fitting of the bowl’s place in the history of college football.
